Dycom Industries, Inc. Appoints Tony G. Werner As Director

Dycom Industries, Inc. announced today the appointment of a new director, Tony G. Werner, President and CEO of Aurora Networks, Inc., Santa Clara, California, and former AT&T Broadband Chief Technology Officer. During Mr. Werner's tenure with AT&T Broadband (formerly Tele-Communications, Inc.), he was responsible for its network architecture and upgrade program as well as its digital cable, high-speed cable Internet and cable-telephony initiatives. Prior to joining AT&T Broadband, Mr. Werner held executive positions with Rogers Cablesystems, Ltd., Hong Kong Cable Communications, Inc. (a joint venture of US West and Wharf) and RCA Cablevision Systems. Mr. Werner was the year 2000 recipient of the NCTA Vanguard award for Science and Technology, the cable industry's highest honor in this field.
